Papirøen
As part of the transformation of the Paper Island, from an old industrial dock hosting some of the city’s most beloved temporary activities to a new, mixed-use destination, BRIQ has developed a strategy for urban life and retail, and is now handling the implementation.
The strategy contextualizes the Paper Island to its neighboring areas and focuses on trends within tourism and consumer behavior in Copenhagen. The strategy seeks to create synergy between the concepts and help establish a place that both attracts local Copenhagners as well as tourists, this has led to a focus on diverse food concepts, cultural formats and smaller shops that cater to the everyday.
To make the strategy as realiseable as possible BRIQ has made tentative space plans and are working with potential operators in visualizing and making their concepts come to life.
BRIQ is currently handling the implementation.
