‘How to Make a City’ with founder Peter Bur Andersen
In this short clip, Peter highlights the significance of understanding the city’s essence in urban development projects and the key elements that help create a vibrant community and urban life that people want to return to year-round.
Urbanization was a response to new ways of doing things, new developments and quicker more efficient ways to work and live. In many ways urbanization was part of solving the problems of that time, but today we find ourselves in the midst of a pressing climate crisis, a historic biodiversity crisis, and an overwhelming health crisis.
Therefore we need to step into a new era of urban planning, an empathic urban planning that demands and caters for human and planetary wellbeing.
