Aurora

Aurora is Carlsbergbyen’s newest and most charming ice cream shop, offering ice cream with rich, pure flavors.

The name “Aurora” is inspired by a fascination with the mysterious and vibrant gradients of the northern lights. The concept also draws from the Arctic latitudes, north of the Arctic Circle, where ice and cold shape the environment. These two ideas form the foundation of the shop’s visual identity and have strongly influenced its design elements. Additionally, the modern “Japandi” style—a fusion of minimalist Japanese aesthetics and Nordic exclusivity—has played a significant role in shaping the shop’s overall visual expression.
