Byens Lys

As a part of BRIQ’s work in Carlsberg Byen, coming after the development of the urban life and retail strategy, BRIQ is now implementing it, finding the operators to bring the vision to life. As it can take some time searching for the right operators, shops are sometimes left empty for a while. 

To make good use of the square meters in the meantime, BRIQ has collaborated with Studio Jakob Kvis creating the light installation Byens Lys. ‘Byens Lys’ mimics the sunset with its colorful arrangement of lights, stretching 200 meters through Carlsberg. The temporarily empty shop-premises are brought into play as the installations create a surprising moment and increase the feeling of safety in the area until the right operators move in.
